💡Did You Know? - Makha Bucha Day at the Silver Temple
Magha Puja Day (Chaturongkha Sannibata): A sacred Buddhist day commemorating the miraculous gathering of 1,250 enlightened monks who assembled spontaneously before the Buddha on the full moon of the third lunar month. This event represents the Fourfold Assembly, a rare convergence of purity, enlightenment, and harmony in Buddhist tradition.
A Reflection of Faith: The candlelight procession at our temple is unique. As you walk with your candle, the flame reflects off the hand-hammered silver surfaces, symbolizing the illumination of wisdom spreading through the darkness.
Sermons in Silver: The core teachings of the Buddha—to do good, avoid evil, and purify the mind—are intricately carved into the walls of the Silver Temple. Each stroke of the artisan's hammer is a prayer and a lesson in mindfulness.
